2.) Oswaldo Sosa - 6 starts [2 starts]
3.) Ryan Mullins - 5 starts, 1 RA [2 starts]
4.) Jay Rainville - 5 starts, 1 RA [2 starts]
5.) Alexander Smit - 5 starts [2 starts]
Who's Hot: Nobody had 2 clearly good starts, but both Ryan Mullins and Oswaldo Sosa had so-so first efforts and very good second efforts to make this list this "week." Mullins went 10 innings and allowed 6 runs (2 earned) on 10 hits and 4 walks while striking out a very solid 16 batters. On the season, he has a 2.76 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP in 29.1 innings of work with a great 38-7 K-BB ratio. Oswaldo Sosa, meanwhile, went 11 innings and allowed just 2 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks with 13 K's. On the season, Sosa has a 4.50 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP in 26 innings, with a very good 27-9 K-BB ratio.
Who's Not: Alexander Smit went 9 innings and allowed 7 runs (5 earned) on 8 hits and 7 walks while striking out 7 batters this week. On the season, Smit has a 5.40 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP with a 20-11 K-BB ratio in 23.1 innings. Kyle Waldrop went 10 innings and allowed 8 runs (7 earned) on 13 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9. He has a 3.45 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP in 31.1 innings, along with a 30-6 K-BB ratio.
Relief Pitchers
1.) Eduardo Morlan - 9 RA [4 RA]
2.) Angel Garcia - 9 RA [4 RA]
3.) Frank Mata - 9 RA [4 RA]
4.) Kyle Aselton - 8 RA [3 RA]
5.) Joshua Hill - 8 RA [4 RA]
6.) Yohan Pino - 7 RA, 1 start [2 RA, 1 start]
7.) Zach Ward - 7 RA [2 RA]
8.) David Shinskie - 7 RA [2 RA]
Who's Hot: Frank Mata easily had the best week amongst the relief crew, putting together a solid performance in each of his 4 appearances. For the week, he pitched 6 innings and gave up just 3 hits and a walk while striking out 5 batters. For the season, Mata now has an ERA of 0.69 and a WHIP of 1.08 in 13 innings, along with a more pedestrian 8-6 K-BB ratio. Josh Hill had 3 very solid performances and 1 short so-so performance, but on the week went 6 innings and allowed just 1 run on 7 hits with 2 walks and 4 K's to earn a spot on the "hot" list for the week. His season numbers are not so good, however: 6.39 ERA, 1.89 WHIP, 10-4 K-BB in 12.2 innings.
Who's Not: Everyone had at least one good performance, but individual game performances are going to land a couple of guys on this list. Angel Garcia had 2 good outings and a so-so outing before making an appearance yesterday and giving up 5 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks in just 1.2 innings of work. For the season, he has a 5.02 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP in 14.1 innings. Eduardo Morlan, meanwhile, had 3 solid outings out of 4 appearances, but in a game on May 1st he gave up 4 runs on 4 hits and a walk in just 1.1 innings. That gives him a 3.00 ERA and a 0.73 WHIP, along with a 17-3 K-BB ratio in 15 innings.
Catchers
1.) Caleb Moore - C(12), DH(4) [C(5), DH(2)]
2.) Jeff Christy - C(10), DH(3) [C(4), DH(2)]
3.) Javier Sanchez - C(7), DH(5) [DH(3), C(2)]
Who's Hot: Hot is a relative term, and among this bunch the only guy who comes close to qualifying is Caleb Moore, who went 5-for-21 this week and is now hitting .231 on the season with a .594 OPS.
Who's Not: Javi Sanchez had a very poor week, going 0-for-12 to reduce his season batting average to .088 with a .397 OPS. Jeff Christy also struggled this week, going 2-for-21 to settle in at .182 on the season with a .493 OPS. Both have also made a couple of errors.
Infielders
1.) Juan Portes - 2B(24), RF(2), 3B(1) [2B(9), 3B(1)]
2.) Steven Tolleson - SS(20), 2B(3), DH(2) [2B(7), 2B(1)]
3.) Whit Robbins - 1B(15), DH(7), 3B(4) [1B(7), DH(2), 3B(2)]

5.) Matthew Betsill - 3B(7), 1B(5), SS(4) [3B(3), SS(2), 1B(1)]
Who's Hot: Steven Tolleson went 9-for-29 this week, and is hitting .284 with a .709 OPS on the season, so things are going well with the bat. Unfortunately, he is really struggling in the field, making 5 errors this week alone to put him at 8 on the season. He's also been caught stealing 5 times this season, with 5 successful steals. So -- he has some areas to improve. Juan Portes also had a good week with the bat, going 12-for-39 on the week to put him at .252 with a .591 OPS for the season.
Who's Not: Matt Betsill went 3-for-22 this week to drop his batting average to .140 with a .359 OPS. Toby Gardenhire also struggled, going 4-for-20 to settle in at .182/.414. Yikes to both!
