Down on the Farm: Low A Report

Beloit Snappers

Starting Pitchers

1.) Ryan Mullins - 5-6 / 3.66 ERA / 140 inn / 116-45 K-BB
2.) Alexander Smit - 6-1 / 3.40 ERA / 87.1 inn / 111-43 K-BB
3.) Yohan Pino - 11-2 / 2.28 ERA / 75 inn / 85-17 K-BB
4.) Zach Ward - 1-2 / 7.43 ERA / 13.1 inn / 14-3 K-BB
5.) Eduardo Morlan - 4-5 / 2.66 ERA / 91.1 inn / 108-35 K-BB

Ryan Mullins made 2 starts, pitching 13 innings and winning both games. His ERA fell by .10 points, and he struck out 9 while walking just 3.

Alexander Smit started 2 games, pitching 10 innings and winning a game. His ERA fell by .09 points, striking out 13 and walking 6.

Yohan Pino pitched 5 innings and got the win in his start. His ERA fell by .03 points, and he struck out 5 while walking 1.

Zach Ward finally hit a reality check, after a season in which he hadn't lost. His last start of last week was bad, and his only start this week was equally problematic. He lasted 5 innings, but he lost the game, raising his ERA by .95 points. He did strike out 5 while walking just 1, so his control doesn't seem to be the problem. Hopefully he can re-find his form and end his season on a high note.

Eduardo Morlan pitched 7 innings and picked up the win. His ERA fell by .22 points, and he struck out 9 while walking 3.
