Down on the Farm: High A Report

Ft. Myers Miracle

Starting Pitchers

1.) Anthony Swarzak - 4-6 / 4.11 ERA / 92 inn / 90-36 K-BB
2.) Justin Jones - 1-3 / 3.99 ERA / 47.1 inn / 28-17 K-BB
3.) Brian Duensing - 2-4 / 2.77 ERA / 39 inn / 32-5 K-BB
4.) Josh Hill - 5-2 / 5.72 ERA / 56.2 inn / 37-20 K-BB
5.) Kyle Aselton - 4-2 / 4.38 ERA / 51.1 inn / 45-26 K-BB

Jay Sawatski got a promotion, Kyle Aselton came off of the disabled list, and Danny Powers returned to the bullpen, so the Miracle have a much tidier situation with their starting pitching than they did a week ago.

Anthony Swarzak went 6 innings and took a loss in his start, but lowered his ERA by .29 points and picked up 7 K's.

Justin Jones also went 6 innings, getting a no decision. His ERA fell by .36 points, and he had 2 K's against 1 BB.

Brian Duensing went 7 innings and picked up a win, lowering his ERA by .32 points in the process. He struck out 5 and walked 1, adding to that excellent K-BB ratio.

Josh Hill went 5.1 innings and got a no decision. He lowered his ERA by .07 points, and had a 4-3 K-BB ratio.

Kyle Aselton went just 2 innings in his return from the disabled list, but actually lowered his ERA by .18 points while picking up a K. Hopefully he left the game because they're easing him back into things, as opposed to re-injuring himself.
