Minor League Addition
The latest update on minor league transactions from Baseball America is out, and there is a new addition to the club that I haven't discussed so far (there are three players listed, but Brad Voyles and Matt Ryan have been mentioned before).
Brad Baker - RHP
Baker was originally drafted by the Red Sox back in 1999, and has since bounced around through the Padres, Braves, and Red Sox organizations. He struggled in 30 Games with Pawtuckett (Boston's AAA club) last season, putting up a 6.02 ERA, and allowing 61 Hits in just 46.1 innings pitched. Baker will probably have to earn a position in the AA or AAA bullpen this spring, or risk being let go.
