It's been a good ride, folks, but it looks like I'm joining the long list of bloggers who burn out after awhile and move on to other pursuits. While I still enjoy writing my thoughts down, the rarity of my posting since the end of the season is a pretty clear indication that I don't enjoy it enough to actually sit down and do it. It seemed appropriate to pull the plug now rather than get into the start of Spring Training when traffic usually picks up and people started wondering where I was. I certainly could continue to operate the blog on a part-time basis, but I think if I dragged things out I would come to resent blogging rather than leaving having enjoyed it. So, thanks to all of you who checked in from time to time -- and go Twins!
Too bad. I always enjoyed your blog. Well, the boxing banter section was more of a curious amusement for me, but still...
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad, Josh. Always enjoyed reading your posts. Good luck with everything.
ReplyDeleteNow that you've stabbed us all in the heart, why don't you drown some kittens while you're at it?
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, this hurts worse than unwanted kittens.

Say it ain't so... Josh!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Josh,
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed reading your posts over the last couple of years. Thanks for your contributions and best of luck with your degree and career.
It is a sad day in the Alexandria Jefferson High School class of 2000 blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed reading you blog for the past few years and you will be missed. Good luck in whatever you wish to pursue.
ReplyDeleteSorry to see this happen. Even though I don't usually correspond, I've enjoyed your site and check-in almost daily. Taylor's Talk, Josh's Thoughts, and Seth Speaks are my favorite Twins sites. Before the fat lady sings, do me a favor and sniff a baseball and see if the leather smell, or whatever they make it out of today, doesn't get your juices going again. If not, thanks for all the excellent perspectives.
ReplyDeleteYours was one of the better blogs I've read - I'll miss your insights. Good luck lawyering...
ReplyDeleteI bet it was the new template...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the time an effort you put in. And don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If you have something to add in the future, I hope you will do that whether here or in comments on someone else's blog.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best Twins bloggers out there hangs up his... fingers?
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best of luck in whatever ventures you find yourself on, Josh! I always loved your stuff!
-Andrew
Let's no encourage him to re-enter the blogosphere too much, some of us don't need the competition.
ReplyDeleteWow, sorry to hear this but understand. Blogging and not getting paid for it has to be a labor of love. The smart ones know when it ceases to be that and say so, which I appreciate you doing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe after a break for a bit, you'll want to blog again. I've always enjoyed your posts which have taken a lot of time and effort, and which show in the quality of your posts.
JT,
ReplyDeleteI just got back in country and found this last post. The natural conclusion of all things; it's end. You have been always very popular guest on my defunct pod cast. You made following the minors leagues easy and fun. Reading and speaking with you over the years is will be plain to see that you will become a very good lawyer. (If that is possible)
